Curriculum Framework
The syllabus for both B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. programmes at MTTC follows the framework prescribed by NCTE and L. N. Mithila University. The curriculum balances theoretical knowledge of foundations of education with extensive practical engagement — school internships, micro-teaching, demonstration lessons and action research.
B.Ed. (Two Year — Four Semester) Course Structure
- Foundation Courses: Childhood & Growing Up, Contemporary India & Education, Learning & Teaching, Knowledge & Curriculum.
- Pedagogy Courses: Pedagogy of two school subjects (chosen by the student) at upper-primary, secondary and senior-secondary levels.
- EPC (Enhancing Professional Capacities): Reading & Reflecting on Texts, Drama & Art in Education, Critical Understanding of ICT, Understanding the Self.
- School Internship: 16 weeks of school engagement spread across both years.
- Optional Courses: Gender, School & Society / Inclusive Education / Health & Physical Education / Guidance & Counselling.
